a week agoWe visited the place in Jan2026 for two days. It was was a very enjoyable stay. The hosts - madam and her husband are very welcoming and treated us like family. The evenings were spent around bonfire with the hosts sharing stories and experiences. The owners served home cooked food which was simple and tasty, organic vegetables from their kitchen garden. Snoopy the dog is very friendly and playful. Room was cozy, neat and clean.

a month agoI had visited the place twice.. once solo for wfh and another time as a couple and both experiences were very enthralling. The hosts didi and her husband are very fun and like family. The local home cooked food is great. They also light bon fires almost everyday and have fun nights. Also they have started organising small 1/2 days camps which is a nice package.

a month agoYou will love it here! Dada and Didi are really amazing hosts who make very homely food. They grow their own vegetables and greens. They have a small but cute garden with bonfires every evening. They have a cute dog Snoopy and the neighbours cute lil cats visit frequently. A really lovely place.

3 months agoI am absolutely in love with Lobding Homestay and it's hosts. Lobding Homestay is situated in the heart of Yuksom town, a 2-min walk from the main bazaar, so it is already a 5/5 in terms of location in a 5/5 town (if you haven't already, please visit Yuksom - it is peaceful, quaint, historical and filled with the most beautiful people, houses and energy). Lobding Homestay comes with three very well-furnished, designed and kept rooms - extremely clean and spacious and loads of natural light. The bathrooms are also well furnished and the hosts keep the rooms and bathrooms very clean. There is also a very comfy sit-out that overlooks their beautiful garden - filled with delightful plants, flowers and vegetables. The hosts, Dawa Didi and Poorna Bhaiya, are extremely warm, gentle and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Packages include dinner and breakfast, and I would 100% recommend this, because both Dawa Didi and Poorna Bhaiya are excellent chefs, making delightful local food (ema datshi, buffalo and chicken curries, black tea, and even simple chutneys, dals and sabzis), with almost all materials sourced from their own garden. Snoopy their dog is also a delight to play with and will always greet you with so much love. I discovered this homestay the first time I travelled solo to Sikkim in March 2025, and simply had to return a second time this month on another solo trip. Coming here felt like coming to a home away from home, and I leave knowing I will simply have to return again :)

2 months agoCozy clean rooms in a quiet rural setting. Spacious rooms, good mattress and modern bathroom. 150 m downhill of the main street, behind a set of small shops - through a little track left of the wooden shops. (Head for the flags). Super welcoming hosts, Dowa & Purna. A good place to rest before and after a trek. Really the best place I've stayed in, in India, so far.
